Review – Life’s Perfect Plan by Sarah Goodman ARC V””V

Melanie here aka VampireLovingDork  back  with my review of  Life’s Perfect Plan which was I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of.

Now most of you know that I am not a contemporary romance reader normally, but when I did the cover reveal for this I couldn’t resist the chance to read the story from what little is given away in the synopsis.

Trust me … if a non romance reader like me enjoys this then it is really worth picking up!!  For a debut novel the characters are great, but I feel special mention needs to be made of one of the secondary characters Kate …… at the time of reading I didn’t know that she would be featured in a new book but I am thrilled that she is.  I still can’t decide if I “know” her or I “am” her but by the end of the book I am sure you will be looking forward to learning more and I think quite possibly she is the best secondary character created in a debut novel for me since I don’t know when.

Back to main story….. it is good! For the… Continue reading

Tess doesn’t know who she is because she can never see her face, she just know she is terrified and trying to run for her life. Is it her? Tess is a very smart and athletic and has a wonderful relationship with her parents and two amazing best friends in the world Kylie and Jack. I love that tess volunteers at the angels, she meets a handsome guy there names joe and they have this great connection and he is singing You are beautiful. I love that we get to see Tess grow up from graduating high school then going to college.

You see Tess go threw real life struggles and its horrible to see people in that situation.

Haedyn’s Choice (Haedyn Chronicles, #1) by Jennifer L. Oliver (review By Leah)

**Review By Leah From The Nerd Girl Page**

*This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review*
This is a very unique read! It’s the first time I have read a book that is more from the demon/evil side of things. Jennifer L. Oliver creates an awesome female hero that I automatically sympathized with. Haedyn has had a hard life to say the least. An orphan since childhood then being drafted in to the army of the number two demon in the underworld. There she is groomed as a an assassin and becomes his top torturer and agent. When her master sends her on a assignment for a new client things spiral out of control. Haedyn is charged with keeping Lex safe from any and all things that want to kill him. Lex an ordinary human, stirs emotions in Haedyn that she thought she was no longer capable of having. His aggravating questions and inability to stay out of trouble drive Haedyn wild but she can’t fight the feelings that are developing for him.

The writing is beautiful and Oliver creates an intriguing world hidden within our own. This is a beautiful book that is definitely worth… Continue reading

Earths in Space Volume 1 by Daniel Sherrier (Review By Cianna)

**Review By Cianna From The Nerd Girl Page**

Grade: A

Earths in Space Volume 1 is two novellas. Set it the future, on a ship that visiting planets they believe to be as similar to Earth as possible, and finding out if there’s any intelligent life on them and if they would pose a threat to our Earth.

In the first story, Liberty of Death, the crew investigates their first planet. The air is just like Earth’s air, and the grass is just like Earth grass, but what Amena, the main character, didn’t expect was to find humans, just like on earth. What they didn’t expect was the 4 gods that controlled the population.

Amena and her crew have to decide if it’s worth it to get involved in the lives of these other humans, or leave them to their own path.  What follows is a great little Sci Fi Adventure, and some true American values!   Saving Earths on at a time!

I loved this story, I thought the character reactions were so truthful, and this ideas so interesting. I really like posing the question of whether to get involved in the other Earth’s business or not,… Continue reading

A Born Victim by R.P. Rochford (Review By Ruby)

**Review By Ruby From The Nerd Girl Page**

*This Book Was Given To Me In Exchange For An Honest Review*

I loved this book! There was a sense of impending doom hanging over me all the way through it that kept me turning pages – Mostly because I read the title and then I met Gill who screams victim from the get go. It was just a matter of time.

Gill Brogan is an unremarkable single mother of two. She had cruel parents and a cruel ex-husband. She has worked hard her entire life to provide for her children but with little success. She is constantly bullied and taken advantage of because of her submissive and shy demeanour. Naturally she is targeted…

As you read Gill Brogans story the book flicks to the perspectives of Cyber Crime Investigator Mike Watson and Police Investigator, DS Lucy Taylor. These two are investigating the deaths of several missing women who have turned up dead, having been tortured within an inch of their lives. The men responsible are neat and organized monsters; they never leave any evidence behind. Mike soon discovers a well hidden trail of disturbing footage on the internet. It becomes apparent… Continue reading
