Synopsis

Love is worth any risk in this seductive finale of USA TodayBestselling Author Gayle Callen’s Highland Wedding series…

The last thing clan chief Duncan Carlyle expects to encounter in the rain-soaked highlands was Catriona Duff, daughter of the corrupt earl responsible for the price on his head. Yet Duncan finds himself sheltering the beauty who claims to have lost her memory. Catriona could be the key to stopping her father, but only if Duncan can keep her identity—and his dangerously powerful desire—to himself.

Duncan may have rescued Catriona, but the gruff outlaw clearly doesn’t trust her. She’s moved by his mission to rescue kidnapped children, but hiding in a network of caves means living in close quarters with everyone—including Duncan. And even as Catriona struggles to remember her past, the present draws her ever closer to this enigmatic man…and to the secret that could change everything

4-Ever Hunted by Kasi Blake – Reader’s Choice

***Disclaimer – This post was created in good faith using HTML provided by the author for promotional purposes only. Nerd Girl Takes No Responsibility for the appearance of the post, any affiliate links, images herein***

For the first time ever (as far as I know) YOU (the reader) get to decide who the hero winds up with in the end. This idea came to me because of the whole Team Edward/Team Jacob debate. Even after the last book came out and Edward won Bella’s heart, people were still arguing over who was the best guy for her.

And I thought about the many times that I was annoyed by the hero/heroine choosing the wrong person. Wouldn’t it be great if we could make sure the author put the main character with the love interest of our choice?

So I wrote 4-Ever Hunted. This is a YA Paranormal Fantasy where the main character has two girls in his life, two possible loves. I have the series outlined to where it can go either way. It’s your choice.

4-Ever Hunted:
Born with dark magic flowing through his veins that is slowly killing him… Trick enjoys a reckless lifestyle.

He rides his… Continue reading

K.L. Bone – Spotlight

Author Bio:
K.L. Bone is the author of the Bestselling Black Rose Guard dark fantasy series. The Rise of the Temple Gods fantasy series. And a stand-alone sci-fi novel, The Indoctrination.

Bone has a master’s degree in modern literary cultures and is currently working towards her PhD. She wrote her first short story at the age of fifteen and grew up with an equally great love of both classical literature and speculative fiction.

Bone has spent the last few years as a bit of a world traveler, living in California, London, and most recently, Dublin. When not immersed in words of her own creation or studies, you’ll find her traveling to mythical sites and Game of Thrones filming locations.

Q&A:
Q. Where are you from?  Does the area you live in influence you writing?

I consider myself more of a world traveler than from a particular location. Though I am American, I’ve spent the past five years living in England and Ireland. Both locations have had a powerful impact on my writing.

Both of my series have a predominately medieval setting. My Black Rose series in particular has been heavily influenced by European history from the castles visited… Continue reading

Synopsis

History called it the shimmering court. A palace of glass upon the water surrounded by silver roses. For a millennia it stood as a symbol of power and stability within the immortal realms.

In a single night, it washed away in a sea of blood.

Six hundred years ago, Mara, the immortal Captain of the Black Rose Guard, led her knights to their greatest victory: the annihilation of the Muir Court. For avenging a fallen princess, she was hailed a hero. Yet for Mara, the mirror reflected only a killer.

Haunted by the slaughter carried out in the name of honor and duty, Mara hoped she had fought her last battle. But when knights of the Arum Court murdered her sub-captain, hope shattered and the blood roses began to bloom.

Determined to avenge her fallen comrade and save the young woman for whom the long-dormant roses have awakened, Mara dons her ancient Arius blade, and prepares to once again lead her men into a… Continue reading

***#NerdGirlJulie’s  Review***

World of the Innocent by Nadine C. Keels is a chaste, Christian romance novella. I felt the beginning was a bit confusing, but it eventually becomes apparent that the main character, Jhoi, is telling readers the events of a meaningful experience in her recent past.

I loved Jhoi’s involvement… Continue reading
