Liam and Katy were high school sweethearts, they stuck by each other and when Liam’s acting career took him to Hollywood Katy, now his Katy wife follows. Liam finds himself caught up in the glitz, glamour and politics of making it and staying ‘IT’ in Hollywood and fails to see Katy slipping away from him. After one more party Katy doesn’t approve of he wakes to find Katy gone and a note. Four years later, after failing to find her Liam Warren, the actor of the moments finds himself filming on and around a college campus where he finds Katy.

I’m not really a fan of an entire book being retold from a different characters point of view, even if there are little extra scenes added. But I liked this one, I think it’s because I preferred this story being told from Liam’s point of view so much more than I did Katy’s. I enjoyed the scenes that followed Katy leaving and the aftermath of her decision. I felt Liam’s character and his actions were so much more believable and… Continue reading

Liam and Katy were high school sweethearts, they stuck by each other and when Liam’s acting career took him to Hollywood Katy, now his wife, Katy follows. The glitz and the glamour took its toll though and Katy found herself choosing her happiness and walked away, leaving Liam to his career and his party life style. Four years later Katy and Warren haven’t spoken to each other or seen each other, she  is in her final year of college and Liam Warren, the movie star ends up filming on her campus.

I enjoyed this, I did not love it. I was on holiday and it was a nice relaxing read. But it didn’t hook me and I think the main reason for my lack of excitement was the ease in which Katy forgives Liam. She’s spent four years hiding from him, now I didn’t want a will they won’t they story but I did want Katy to stand her ground a little. If she was so willing to be back with Liam then what was the last four years… Continue reading

The Fallen: Book 1-Dark Genesis by Sean M. Bazaar (Review By Jaime C)

***Review From Jaime C For The Nerd Girl Page ***

*I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.*

Armageddon, what happens if Hell wins? That’s what we find out in this truly epic tale. Rich in detail, graphic and gory, Bazaar answers the question-what if evil prevails.

Intense and action packed, Bazaar thinks nothing of killing off his characters, including main ones. The writing is gritty and dark. A fast paced read that will not let you put it down. The characters are bigger than life, but don’t get too attached to any one, they may be next on Bazaar’s hit list!

If you like stories with angels and demons, love and hate, twists and turns, you will love this book.

Under The Sun by Jude Ouvrard (Review By Jessica)

Disclaimer: I was given a free ecopy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This novella (which is the debut of the author) was a short, easy read. The setting of the story is on a beach (what better place to have a romantic encounter!). The overall plot of the story was good, but the romance/relationship between the two main characters felt a bit rushed. I felt like as soon as they laid eyes on each other that was it and was pretty predicatable. There was no real build-up to the falling in love…i’m all for love at first sight but felt the story could have been even better with a little more build-up. I also felt like there were parts that could have been left out, i.e. the description of Jackson’s cabin. I like how both characters had their own story of loss. Jackson had been through his, learned how to cope and was living a life he could be proud of. Tracey, fresh out of her loss, was trying to learn how to move on. I have to admit when Jackson shared his story of… Continue reading

**I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.**

What is there to say about this book but…. Oh Me Oh My!!! I give this book a 5 out 5. If you are looking for a erotic book that actually has a very good story line, this is it!

Emmy likes to be in control all the time. While working as a dominatrix at a BDSM club she decides to give the vanilla lifestyle a try.
She takes up a job as an administrator and meets the very hot Nathaniel who is very much vanilla. Emmy introduces him to the erotic life of BDSM all the while trying to hide the feeling in her heart. As Emmy tries to control her feelings and hide her past from Nathaniel, her world gets flipped when her past decides it is time to show himself.

This book was not only a hot, juicy read, but it let me connect with the characters. The story line in this book was so realistic it made me feel like I knew the characters. The only thing that… Continue reading

Pwned by Shannen Crane Camp (Review By Emily – YA Reviewer)

** Review By Emily from The Nerd Girl Page**

Emily here, the YA reviewer from Nerd Girl.  I give YA reviews from a real YA reader.  Here is  my review of  Pwned which I was given in exchange for an honest review.

This was a book that I absolutely adored. It was the perfect romance novel for the teenage audience who wants to read something that is more realistic than a lot of the books currently on the market. This novel also showcased a lot of problems that some teenagers might endure while they are at high school, making it a book that I think a lot of people can relate to.

Right from the beginning the book I knew it was going to be good. Its concept was solid all constines through the book, never leaving the reader bored or unamused. The novel was filled with hilarious moments and it always kept you at the edge of your seat wanting to know how the main character was going to get out of a certain situation.

I loved the way the romance and the nerdy moments were often at the same time making it absolutely adorable.… Continue reading

Lexia,The Deadwood Hunter Series by Rachel M Raithby (Review By Emily – YA Reviewer)

** Review By Emily from The Nerd Girl Page**

Emily here, the YA reviewer from Nerd Girl.  I give YA reviews from a real YA reader.  Here is  my review of  Lexia which I was given in exchange for an honest review.  Although not really a YA book the cover and synopsis intrigued me so much that when it was offered to the team I asked to review it too.

This was the kind of book where you read the first page and you have so many questions popping into your mind, so you have to read the whole novel without putting it down so you know what happens!

When I first read the synopsis I thought the book was going to be like the television show “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” but I was definitely wrong. This book has a concept which was very different from any vampire slaying book or television show that I have read or seen.

The whole novel keeps you on your feet wanting to know what is going to happen or how Lexia, the main character, is going to get herself out of a certain situation that she… Continue reading

My Review:
They say great things come in small packages and that’s exactly what you get with this book and you would never know it’s a short story because it’s packed full with a beautiful story about loss, love, and family and some exciting adventures! This book is beautifully written and has a perfect balance! I lost myself within the pages and enjoyed every moment of it.. it’s a captivating read that really pulls at your heartstrings that you just want to jump in and give the character a hug and tell her “everything is going to be ok.. you’ll see!” Not only did I enjoy the characters… Continue reading
