College freshman and math whiz Billie Dixon has everything planned to a T. But life doesn’t always go according to plan.
Her best friend’s roommate won’t stop goading her, the senior she’s tutoring in calculus develops an unwelcome crush, and she spends much of her time avoiding her estranged father, the Math Department Head. But a sudden encounter with Daddy Dearest forces Billie to face memories and emotions she’d rather ignore, and for the first time, her father wants to rekindle their relationship.
Now, Billie must choose between reinforcing the wall she built around her heart and giving her father a second chance.

***Laura – #NerdGirlVixen’s Review***
If We Had No Winter by D.L. Pitchford follows a young woman named Billie. Billie is attending college and majoring in Mathematics. One of my fave characters was Xander. He’s witty and kept surprising me with his actions. I loved the banter between him and Billie. I really felt he kept the book going for me at times.
At first, Billie was a hard character to both like and relate to. She isn’t one of those warm and fuzzy ones. I will say by the end of the book, she grew on me and I even respected her. I really love when a character grows and Billie sure did. I do wish there was a little more background about her family situation. This was a pretty good read and I look forward to reading more from this author!
