How I Came About Writing and My Writing Journey
Back in the tenth which was the year of 2014, I always enjoyed writing stories when our teacher gave us that particular assignment. I always came up with something new and exciting, if it’s not about wives killing their cheating husbands or maids having sex with their boss (those I kept to myself) it was either girls going to party and having fun. I always loved to write, it was an absolute passion of mine and when a friend of mine suggested I check out Wattpad, I decided that I should join it. When I first join, it was purely reading even though I had stories floating around in my head which I thought was never good enough. I continued to read until one day I finally gave myself a stern pep talk. I remember the words like it was yesterday “If this is something you love, just go for it.” So, after giving myself that pep talk, I finally decided that I was going to write my first amateur novel, “The Billionaire’s Proposal.” It’s a novel about two singles Nyla and Kyle who had a one-night stand and then decides they should start a relationship that later came to be a whole lot of mess. It was a novel that was properly written but I loved dearly and even though it wasn’t getting enough views, I still decided that I should continue to write it. It had eventually started to get popular, but the popularity wasn’t what motivated me, it was the fact that I was doing something that I love and what others love as well. Even though I had bad critics, and when I say bad I mean really bad like jumping off a cliff bad. I wanted to give up and throw in the towel, because this was a story that had come to mind and I thought that everybody will love it but oh my was I sadly mistaken. My loyal readers gave me some advice, and I took it and gobbled it up and after two days of feeling sorry for myself and being ‘depressed,’ I finally put on back my big girl panties and started writing again.
How and when my writing journey took off?
Back in early 2016, I was speaking to a Jamaican author and I was explaining to him that being published was something that I really wanted, it was something that I had dreamed of. This particular author was and is still very popular, he was the first author who had inspired me to write. I had asked him for advice and he told me everything I should know and I followed them thoroughly. From there and then I published my first novel in August. It was slow at first seeing that I was a new author and I didn’t have much experience, I tried to do what other authors were doing and nothing seem to work. For months things were slow and I didn’t know what to do or who to turn to. Eventually, I began to promote my book, I reached out about 50 or more reviewers with only about 10 responded back to me. It was rough but at the end of the day, I wasn’t giving up and I continued to push and push until sales picked up, it still wasn’t much but it was better. I am still trying, still fighting and pushing myself to reach my full potential when it comes on to writing because I want to be the best that I can be, set goals and smash the hell out of them.
Where are you from? Does the area you live in influence you writing?
I am from Jamaica, yes the sunny Island and no, where I am from does not influence my writing.
Tell us your latest news!
I am working on 100k romance/erotic novel Loving the CEO. It will have you in a swirl of emotions and it’s definitely a page turner.
When and why did you begin writing? What inspired you to write your first book?
I began writing back in the ten grade and the truth be told is that it as a fantasy of mine that I had conjured up.
What book(s) / author(s) have influenced your life and writing?
I have yet to find a book that inspired my life but as for writing, the authors who have influence me are: Natalie Bennett
Tell us about your characters and how they came to be? Have they been in your head for a long time?
My characters came from fantasy or just ones that I had made up to make the story better and not all but most have been in my head for a long while. 😊
What motivates you to write?
My passion for writing, to create stories that readers will love and enjoy. Ones they can reread and never get tired of, ones that they will remember all the time.
What is the hardest part of writing?
The hardest part of writing is when you have all these characters, interesting ideas but don’t know how to incorporate it. It hardly happens to me, but at the same time, when it does, it’s kind of hard to overcome as I don’t know if it will ruin the story.
Did you learn anything from writing your book and what was it?
Yes I learned that when writing a story, I should take my time to introduce each character, do a bit of story building and character development as most persons tend to want that, than the story being rushed.
Where do you get your ideas?
Most of my ideas come from either dreams or fantasy. 😊
What does your family think of your writing?
Well I doubt it they care, haha. Like they know that I write, but they don’t ask when the next book will be published and what I write which I think is a good thing for me. It would be so embarrassing to tell them I write erotica, yup that would be too awkward!
What is the best advice you would give to inspiring authors?
In this industry/job you got to have ‘crocodile skin.’ This means that you got to be tough because they will be persons who will hate your story, some have reasons, some just are bully or just plain hating. Your story won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but at the end of the day, once you believe this what you want to write and bring across, then do it. Keep pushing yourself and write everyday and most importantly seek advice from persons who have experience in writing as it can help you a lot.
What book are you reading now?
I am currently reading Sweet Enemy by Heather Snow
“I need you inside me now,” I heard her scream. Not waiting for her to tell me a second time, I quickly tore off my clothes and walked to the suitcase to see if I could find a condom.
Finding none, I yelled out.” Fuck” in frustration.
“What’s wrong Adam?”
“I don’t have any condoms,” I said lowly, while staring at her for her reaction.
“That’s okay, you don’t have to use any. I want to feel you inside me.”
Hearing those words, had made my cock jumped thrice before it began throbbing uncontrollably. Practically running over to her, I rubbed my finger against her clit, before I took my cock in my hands and placed it at her entrance.
Pushing my way inside, I came to a stop when my cock pushed against her hymen that was prohibiting me from going any further.
Sighing in frustration, I gently took my cock out and asked “you’re a virgin Emily?”
“Yeah, I am,” her voice came out low. I could see her cheeks turning a bright red.
She was clearly embarrassed.
“Emily, I can’t have sex with you, you need to do it with someone you love.”
Lifting up herself, in a fast motion, she grabbed on to my hand. “Adam, I want you to be my first, please no more questions just fuck me already.” A bit taken aback by her bluntness, I laid her back on the bed and sucked on her pussy one more time before I got up and positioned my cock back at her entrance. Slowly easing my way inside, I gently pushed at the barrier and I heard her wince.
“This is going to hurt before it gets pleasurable, please bear with me.”
Nodding her head, I know she was going to wince again so I leaned towards her and kissed her hard before I pushed my way inside her more forcefully this time. Biting my lip, she screamed into the kiss. Stopping, I allow her to adjust to my size, before I started moving inside of her. Hearing her moans in my mouth, I got up and looked her deep in the eye while I felt my cock going in and out of her tight pussy. Picking up the pace, I started going hard and faster before I pushed all the way inside her so she could feel my entire length.
My actions must have knocked the sounds from her mouth, because her mouth was left wide open with no sounds coming out. I could see her struggling to speak, struggling to moan but no matter how much she tried, I have rendered her speechless with that one move.
Pulling my entire length out of her, I heard her cry out in protest.
Pushing back my entire length in her again, I started grating my hips inside her so that my cock was hitting every muscle she had inside her.
She was now scratching at my back, before she made her way down to my ass and pushed me more inside of her.
Grunting, I could feel all the muscles off her walls gripping my cock, in a vice grip. “Fuck Emily, if you keep doing that I am going to come inside you any second.”
Moaning in my ears, that set me off and I could feel my come making its way. Stopping, I pulled out and waited a few seconds before I plunged back deep within. Fucking her harder and faster than ever, I could hear her groaning and moaning and I could feel my come making its way up again.
I couldn’t come before her, I told myself.
Taking my hand, I placed it on her clit and rubbed it hard and fast. I could hear her breath coming out faster and I knew she would be experiencing her climax any second.
I could feel my own release pushing its way up, barrelling it way out.
Pinching her clit two times, that’s all it took before her orgasm pushed out and she let out an ear-splitting scream.
Grunting, I pulled out just in time and came on top of her leg. With both of us panting for breath and too tired to move, I rolled myself off of her and came to a stop on the bed.
Bang! Bang! We heard a knock on the door repeatedly, “Who is it?” I called out.
“It’s hotel security, is anyone hurt?”
