I’m happier without you. That’s what the love of my life, Peter, said to me, in the conversation that ended our relationship. I didn’t see it coming, and it left me reeling. What do you do when every plan you’ve made for your life, falls apart? I shut down.
Life came back to me one heartbeat at a time, starting with my destroying a car that didn’t belong to me. Needless to say, I made an enemy in Tammy, one of the cheerleaders for Peter’s lacrosse team. Not only does she hate me, but every one of her friends do too, including my ex’s new girlfriend.
While I avoid Tammy’s shots at me, I’ve been getting to know two people who showed up in my life. Poe and Cathy. For some reason, they like me, and Peter isn’t pleased about that. While trying to save myself from Tammy’s increasing threats, I have to deal with Peter trying to make me feel guilty for moving on. How do you move on when everyone wants to hold you down?

***Laura – #NerdGirlVixen’s  Review***
After I finished the book, I need a couple of days to sort out how I felt about it.

For the most part I did enjoy this book but there were some parts and characters that just didn’t do it for me. There is a touch of “magic” that isn’t mentioned in the synopsis. That kind of threw me off.

I will say the characters were well written. They all did their job, whether they were good, bad, or annoying. I had trouble relating to Clover for most of the story. It could be the target audience is geared towards younger readers and not my old self. I did LOVE Poe and Cathy! I felt they carried the book with their personalities and witty banter. By the end of the story, I did like the new Clover.

The author’s writing is good and would be open to reading more from her. I give this 3 stars.
