You’ll never miss the sunlight until it’s gone.
Sixteen-year-old Echo Navarri, daughter of world-famous archaeologists, Alice and Peter Navarri, had spent her life traveling from one expedition to the next as her parents unearthed lost civilizations.
On their thirteenth dig, Midnight, Echo’s twin sister, disappears without a trace. This prompts a year-long search that leaves the family nearly broken.
In an attempt to find some closure they reluctantly host a mock funeral for Midnight without ever recovering her remains.
Nearing the one year anniversary of Midnight’s assumed death, Echo is sent to live with her eccentric Aunt Luna who is the caretaker of the centuries old Navarri Estate in Port Royal, Maine.
Echo attempts to settle into her new life in Port Royal, but soon finds that she’s destined for adventure as the mystery of her families history, the sunless town, and it’s oddly intriguing people teeter on the supernatural. **This is BOOK #1 in The Midnight Saga BUT can be read as a standalone.**
***Gladys – #NerdGirlOfficial’s Review***
Rue Volley is masterful story teller. No genre is safe from her utter annihilation. The impact of her creativity sits solidly in my mind, and the effects often take hold for days even weeks after I shut the kindle down.
13 Ways to Midnight is the second young adult paranormal tale written by Rue that I have read and she has danced excitedly through the pages. Casting spells on her new readers and keeping her old readers cemented to the foundation of their love for her.
In this story, we have twins. One assumed dead and another sent to live with a relative in their generation owned Navarri Estate in Port Royal Main. Within the walls of her new home, she finds more that what she expects. Does her former life traveling with her parents call her or does her new life and mysteries!!? Read on and find out!
5 Stars and a tip of my Nerd Girl hat!! Utterly Resplendent.
