The perfect job, a dream guy and one chance to screw it up…

When a luxury beachfront hotel in the OC conducts a mass hire, Katie Flanagan’s ninth in line.

Is it her dream job? Possibly.

Will it help her escape living with her parents for the rest of her life? Hopefully.

Add in two hot new hires: one who is her type in all the wrong ways and one who has her questioning what she really wants and needs. Either way, she has a choice to make.

When Katie discovers a secret document aimed at downsizing the staff, she finds her voice and pens a press release that places the hotel, and her, at the center of national coverage. When the corporate line is drawn in the sand, the question becomes – will she cross it?

Havoc, heat, and hotel madness… welcome to the back hallways at the Waterfront Point Resort.

***Stephenee,  #NerdGirlSteph Review***
This is my first book by this author, but it will not be my last. The author weaves a tale that is one part romance and one part adventure…the reader is able to predict some of the plot as the twists and turns don’t distract the reader from what they see happening. The author’s writing style flows at a break neck pace and before the reader realizes it, the story is over. The reader is both upset that the book has ended but at the same time wants to know what ultimately happens to Katie and her “detective” ways.

Katie is in the front of the line for a mass hiring at the newest resort in OC and while there she meets a group of people that become her team. The group is hired and the sparks fly, but sometimes sparks can lead to fire…and fire isn’t always the best thing. Katie has to grow up quickly in this story to show the reader that she has matured and that she is able to carry the story. I rated this book a 4 star instead of a 5 because some of the story is just a bit too unbelievable to the reader, for instance, when Katie’s car needs repaired she leaves it with an almost “ex” boyfriend for months, while driving his truck…this just isn’t realistic to the reader. I felt like some things just needed to be changed a bit.

Overall this was a good read and I will be reading more from this author in the future! I enjoyed the characters and their personalities as well as the author’s writing style. Add this to your TBR list and sit back and enjoy! You will laugh, yell, and shake your head in frustration while reading it, but it is well worth it!
