Grace owns my heart, but I shattered hers. Soccer is my life, but it doesn’t keep me warm at night. Grace is mine, but she belongs to someone else now. Soccer gave me independence and wealth, but it took me away from Grace. I promised I would save Grace, but I ruined her instead. Soccer saved me, but I lost myself along the way. I will risk everything to get Grace back, but will she risk it all for me? Am I even worth the risk?
Scott Peters had to fight for everything good in his life. He never even knew what it felt like to be loved until he met Grace. She woke his heart, taught him to care, and made him a better man. When Scott found incredible success as a soccer player, he chose the money, fame, adoring women, and parties over Grace. Even though she was always on his mind and in his heart, he enjoyed his lavish, carefree lifestyle too much to care.
That all changes when Grace comes crashing back into his life. Scott realizes that he not only lost the most important person in his life, he also lost himself. Scott must face his demons and fight to become the man he was meant to be and win back the woman who owns him. However, Grace may not want to risk her heart, mind, and soul on Scott again. What will he do if he loses this fight? Is love really worth the risk?
Scott is the risk. Are YOU willing to take that gamble and risk it all?
This is the second book in the Runaway Love series. The Risk is from Scott’s point of view. In book one, I really disliked him, even though there wasn’t a whole lot of him in there. Pamela made it possible for me to change the way I view this man. The Risk was perfect and refreshing. It gave the right amount of insight from Scott so you could get a better feel for who he is. And all he is, is a broken man who truly needs love. He wants it from Grace. But he may not be able to have her. I absolutely loved this story and I’m really glad I took a chance to see things from Scott’s view. I am, though, still #TeamTony lol Sorry, Scott. I can’t wait to see what’s next in this series.
