***Cianna, #NerdGirlSunshine Review***
Victoria is a #NewToMe author, and I am glad she requested me for review! I don’t often read too many romance novels, but the ones I do enjoy has great storylines, and this is the case here!
I enjoyed how the author tied romance and suspense in this novel, because the main guy is hunting for proof that his father killed his sister, and has joined the FBI in order to be able to get it. As he returns home, he’s face with the struggle of who to trust while he continues his hunt. When he bumps into his sister’s best friend, things get complicated and Alice get brought into all the drama, and danger surrounding this family.
I thought the chemistry between the two characters was interesting and believable, and I really enjoyed how it played out. I’m glad the author tied in the struggles Alice faces being a farm girl who has feelings for a rich, sophisticated FBI agent. She doesn’t really fit in his world, but she struggles to justify walking away from this potential partner for her.
Overall, the story was captivating, and I enjoyed the character. A great choice for fans of romance with a little something extra! Very well done!
