**This can be read as a standalone**
Eighteen year old Alexis Sinclair is lost in the darkness of grief. Since the death of her sister in a car accident, she can’t find the will to get out and enjoy life again. When she’s forced to face her biggest fear and take a summer Driver’s Ed course, she’s surprised to find hope in the most unlikely person.
Liam O’Connell is trouble. He isn’t proud of his dark past, and he knows Alexis is the one girl he has no business pursuing. Doing the right thing has never been easy for him, but this time, it just might be impossible.
The perfect girl and troubled boy are all wrong for each other, but as Liam helps Alexis cope with her grief, they realize nothing has ever felt more right.
That is, until Alexis uncovers a secret about Liam that breaks her heart.
Liam knows he can’t allow the one good thing in his life to walk away without a fight, and he’s determined to convince Alexis they can find their way out of the darkness together.
Can he prove he’s worthy of her, or is some love too tainted to be saved?
The characters are flawed, their lives are a mess and there are secrets after secrets being kept all over this story….and it is nothing short of one of the best reads this year for me! The reader instantly falls in love with Liam, and wants to hug Alexis as she cries, the reader wants to be friends with them and help them to discover who they are. Liam is the “bad” boy and Alexis is the “nerd” girl – complete opposites, except….Alexis wants to find her inner bad girl and Liam wants to find his good boy just for Alexis. The plot is unique and unpredictable.
The reader never knows where the book will be heading next. It is like a double looping, upside down, twisting, turning roller coaster that is traveling at a break next speed that you won’t believe! The reader never knows what hits them as they zip through the pages of this book! Once you finish reading this book you immediately want to start again to see what you missed the first time (and there is no doubt that you missed things). The book becomes an instant favorite and the reader will have a massive book hangover….
Do yourself a favor and add this one to your TBR list and move it straight to the top!! You don’t want another day to go by without you reading this book!! Enjoy!!!
