Synopsis

Stacy’s no stranger to trouble, considering that’s where her smart ass remarks usually land her…in trouble.

A drunken night out with her best friend Adalyn lands her in jail. Not that she’d done anything wrong, except for hit on the incredibly sexy cop who showed up to take a report from Adalyn who’d had her purse stolen.

Chad, a no-nonsense officer who takes himself and his job very seriously, has no patience for Stacy’s shenanigans and over the top flirting. So he hauls her to jail to teach her a lesson, but didn’t expect it to cause Stacy to become a regular fixture in his life.

Stacy ends up befriending Chad’s partner, Joe, who keeps her company after Chad dumps her in a holding cell for the night. Joe and Stacy hit it off right away, resulting in Stacy always being around, no matter how much Chad tries to avoid her.

The constant bickering and sarcastic insults only heighten the sexual tension between Chad and Stacy, and Chad’s ability to control his emotions and actions becomes increasingly difficult.

A low scale war is declared between them, but their actions continue to both hurt each other while simultaneously pulling them together. When the fighting leads to literal bloodshed, they begin to wonder if they both should surrender before the war destroys them both.

***Stephenee – #NerdGirlSteph’s  Review***
I have absolutely without a doubt found one of my newest and most favorite authors with author Jenn Hype!! She writes with such a style and flair that sucks the reader in and doesn’t want to let them out…EVER! You will replay chapters from her books in your head over and over again and each time you will laugh like crazy at some of the sarcasm, antics and fun she creates in her world. She makes the characters real, flawed, and so intense that at times you wonder how she has created this alternate world and then you remember that you love being a part of it, so you don’t question it at all anymore….

This book picks up where book 1 left off, but at the same time she has crafted it so that you can read it as a stand alone book. She gives just enough back story that you know what is going on, but not too much so that it is like a book 1 re-read. I loved Stacy in book and and I loved her even more in her own book. She is the person that shy people aim to be, the outspoken, brash, tell it like it is, but loyal friend that everyone wants. I love the way the author portrayed her and I want to find my very own real life Stacy!! We briefly meet Chad in book 1 as well, but we really get to know them both in this one.

Stacy is arrested by Chad outside of a club where she is determined to pick up the straight laced cop. Chad is not at all interested or amused (or so he says). It takes a lot to get these two to figure out that they are meant to be…and the author makes it an unpredictable ride for the reader. The author’s writing flows smoothlessly and seamlessly throughout the book, barely giving the reader a stopping point for food, the bathroom, work or any of those pesky chores. The reader just doesn’t want to take a minute to stop!! It is that good and that much fun!

This book and the characters are sure to leave you with a book hangover that only another book by this author could possible cure! I am so looking forward to book 3, 4, 5 6….so she better get writing!! Make sure you add this author and all of her books to your TBR list!! You won’t want to miss these!!
