***Gladys – #NerdGirlOfficial’s  Review***

This particular review took me a very long time to write.  I am a huge lover of urban fantasy, YA fantasy and of course the Fae mythology. I am not saying I have a huge knowledge of the genre but this one was very OFF to me.

The world is a cross between dystopia and Fae “after-the-wall-between-our-worlds-crashed” scenario.  The set up wasn’t as intricate as it needed to be.  We knew that magic destroyed the earth.  We knew there were other creatures such as demons and shifters.  BUT WHY? You were left with so many unanswered questions even before the book began.

The premise of the book is that a human, Micheal, and the Unseelie Fae Princess, Tulupea were to splice their genes to create hybrids to replenish the world of magic.  It would be ok if everything matched up and the characters didn’t fall flat.  One big thing that bothered me was that there are many Fae hybrids and they are welcome with open arms especially since the FAE has a hard time conceiving.

I think this book could be more.  3 stars
