***Valerie – #NerdGirlVal’s  Review***
I absolutely  love Rene Schultz’s real life writing. She brings out all my emotions and feelings. If I Could is one of them. Dani loose’s her son to cancer and her Mother to a heart attack and she is left all alone with no family. She has her good friends and her neighbor Anton by her side, but it’s not like having family.
As Dani continues with her life of working at a restaurant and at the hospital’s pediatric oncology ward, life is a struggle. Dani is a fighter and will make it. Then one day she decides to clean out her Mother’s closet and finds a box with her Mothers unspoken past. This makes her to want to find out who her father is and who she is.
Being adopted myself, I know how she feels. Her needs are strong and she even takes a trip to her mother’s home land. Dani has a bad accident and is rushed into surgery. She needs blood, but there isn’t enough, her blood is rare. But one person steps up with the same blood. After healing, Dani realizes that family isn’t always connected to blood. Family is who loves you and is by your side no matter what.
