Synopsis

This is the Complete collected Arrested by Passion Series with never before released content!

To most of Kathleen’s readers she’s just a pulp fiction writer who spins tales about monsters and magic. On the brink of World War II, monstrous beasts and worse lurk in the shadows, unknown and unseen. Her universe is one of Lovecraftian horror and conservative morals. She’s not afraid of anything, except telling her boyfriend the truth about her feelings and her past.

However, she’s not the only one with secrets. Beneath the gentlemanly exterior of her detective boyfriend, Stephen, lurks an intensity she never suspected.

He’s waited long enough, it’s time for him to reveal his long suppressed desire to control and dominate the woman he loves.

How is a newly liberated woman supposed to agree to obey her lover’s orders? Can she still be an independent woman and a submissive?

A shadow from her past looms over her future; a deadly shadow that threatens to kill everyone she loves.

Kathleen’s life is about to take a turn for the passionate … if she survives.

This Tale of Passion, Pulp and the Paranormal is a BDSM love story with steamy sex, murderous monsters, greedy gangsters and a HEA.

***Valerie – #NerdGirlVal’s  Review***
This book is hot and steamy and filled with a lot of hard core sex. The story line was good as a Cop and Paranormal Journalist decide to take the next step in their relationship, real sex. The cop is a sex control freak. He wants her to give him all of her during sexual encounters, but can she? The story covers how he gets her to open up to her sexual fantasy”s and do things that I wouldn’t even do. The story is based on how he is one way at work and a sex control lover at home and the way she opens up to a whole lot of new sensations when they have hard core sex.
The paranormal comes in with her being a will-worker, a Mage. But there is a ‘U’tlun’ta’ killing people for their liver to eat. The story in my view didn’t cover much of this. I know how, why and what happens to it in the story, but I feel there could be more. She is hiding the fact the she is a Mage and she is with her mentor Ed a lot. She does use her spells at times and Ed is there to save the day.
Her Chicago past was good. The trip to Chicago and the return of a bag, that whole part was good and exciting. I felt that the guys monster should of made an appearance at some point, but I did love how he backed down to Ed. The talk that Ed and Kathleen was to have never happened. I would of liked to venture more there.
There are to be no more secrets between them. But there is a hug one that she doesn’t want him to know about. She is afraid what would happen if she told him. Now she gets that one special question she has been waiting for and that secret is still there. So what happens? Left hanging!
I really liked the story. It is difiantly an adult read. The pace was steady and easy to follow. The 1930’s and how a lady is to act was worked in just right. Sex was done prim and proper, wild sex was out of the question. But as she fell more in love, she let that all go, but kept referring back to it. I wanted to tell the Cop to get over himself. I’m not into controlled sex, but to each his own.
I kept thinking that the Cop was an paranormal creature too and he would reveal himself sooner or later. But I was surprised at the ending and glad it did end that way. I also felt like I was left hanging. I felt that she should of at some point told her secret, either before marriage or in another book after. I felt that instead of short stories, it should of been a novel. I’m not trying to put this book down, just an honest review from an honest reviewer. All in all I did really enjoy the book and would like to read more of the authors work.
