Synopsis

Elena Montgomery, an elderly victim of fibromyalgia, has two main loves in her life: Brian, her attractive and hard-working son; and Jill Stevens, her caring friend and next door neighbor. When Brian and Jill meet for the first time, they have a chemistry that no one can deny.

Although Jill finds herself wanting to get closer to Brian, she believes she can’t. Being hurt in the past, she vows to remain single the rest of her life, thinking it’s better not to love than to love and get burned. Brian, on the other hand, wants to get to the bottom of her fears and show her that not all men are the same. He is determined to win her trust, her heart and her hand in marriage.

Through pain, passion and pursuit, will Brian be able to prove to Jill what true love is all about?

***Stephenee – #NerdGirlSteph’s  Review***
This was a quick, fast paced read that keeps the readers attention from start to finish. The author instantly draws the reader into the story and draws them straight into small town living. The reader feels like they are a part of the story, a part of the town and they love it! The author describes the life of a small town – the country store, the hardware store, the downtown coffee shop as well as other the slower pace of life. I never wanted to leave!

The author also does an amazing job with the character development. The reader instantly understands where Jill is coming from and can sympathize with her. They instantly love Elena, the older next door neighbor who has fibromyalgia, and then out of no where we meet Brian, Elena’s son….enter the immediate swooning that the reader starts with…I immediately disliked Amanda, Jill’s best friend. She was just not likable and I disliked her flirty ways as well as the way in which she criticized Jill throughout the story.

The author does a good job with the storyline and the plot and is able to keep the reader on the edge of their seat wondering where the author is going to take the story next. There were a few things that the author needed to work on, such as, some spelling and grammar errors throughout the story, but not too many that it affects the storyline. The author discussed the painful effects of fibromyalgia and she did it in a respectful way that informs the reader as well as enlightens them on the effects of this disease.

This is a great book and I am looking forward to the next book by this author! A great 5 star read that you should grab as soon as possible!
