***Stephanie – #NerdGirlLuna’s  Review***
“Dragon in the Rough” took a little bit of time to take off for me, story wise. The first third of the story didn’t draw me in, but then I was on the edge of my seat in anticipation and I quickly ate up the pages. I finished the book in less than a day, but be warned, this book ends on a cliff hanger. I was beyond mad, I wanted to know what happened, and I was invested in the story. Just grr!!! I mean I really, really, wanted to know what happened with Paul and Katie. But well played author, well played, because now I have to know what happens and I will be eagerly awaiting the next book in the series.
My only issues with the book were the slow start to the book and the fact that the author seemed to avoid contractions. It made the flow of the book stilted at times and the dialogue choppy and unnatural. It just didn’t seem to really fit the characters to me and I believe one would have to concentrate really hard to not have a single contraction in the whole book. I apologize if I may have missed one. However, in the end I would recommend this book to my friends and anyone who has an interest in the world of dragon shifters.
