***THIS BOOK WAS PROVIDED TO NERD GIRL IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW***
My brother brought a boxer home from the gym for Sunday dinner. His body was perfectly sculpted, he was a Marine, a biker, and very handsome. I immediately found him intriguing. It wasn’t any of those attributes that garnered my full attention. It was when he said he protected all people – at home and abroad – that he had my interest.
Because I need protected.
Author’s note: STAND-ALONE BOOK. If you’re looking for a typical MC Romance, look elsewhere. This book has NO cheating, NO sex outside the relationship, and minimal MC presence. It is the story of Alec Jacob – a vigilante, boxer, loner, war hero, and biker. He has been present in every series I have written at one point or another, and appears from the shadows to seek vengeance against all who threaten his brethren. This book is a love story, and because everything Alec Jacob does is well though out, the love depicted in it is without fault.
This is his story.
And it is a roller coaster ride of feelings.
Contains: HEA, NO CHEATING, BOXING RING AND WARTIME VIOLENCE, ACTS OF VENGEANCE, ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION, HATRED OF RACISM, and REGRET.
If you want to feel, this book is for you.
BUT, it is NOT my typical MC Romance, and is NOT like the other books. This is a story of healing and falling in love.
The right way
This book is book 7 in the Selected Sinners Series and while it can be read as a stand alone book, there is no excuse for not reading the previous books in this series. They are all amazing reads and each book mentions other characters and gives us a bit of insight into their lives. Alec, A-Train, Jacob is former military and ready to figure out what his life looks like after leaving the only world he has known for the last 10+ years of his life. His marriage is gone, his family is a reminder of hurt that he can’t accept and the only thing he knows for sure is that his MC family is there for him. A ride to Texas changes everything for him and it changes him for the better! Enter Ripp, Dekk, Kaci, Vee, Katie and family and this is where the real action starts.
Can a relationship work with Katie? Does A-Train want to remain in Texas? How will this new family help him to overcome his past? All these questions and more are answered in this epic book…I know that every book by this author is my favorite, but I really think this is my absolute, no questions about it favorite! I love seeing old friends, new friends, babies and life work out for Alec and his friends. I love that the author has merged 2 of his book series characters together into this one and that we can get an update on all the characters that we have come to love!
Do yourself a favor and start this book and all of his others – you won’t be sorry that you did, only sorry that you didn’t start them sooner!! You will find yourself declaring each one your new favorite (much like me) because it is nearly impossible to choose just one! Jump on the A-Train and get started, but leave plenty of time as you won’t be able to stop reading this book once you start….hang on tight this is one wild ride!!!
