Bensin, a teenage slave and martial artist, is desperate to see his little sister freed. But only victory in the Krillonian Empire’s most prestigious tournament will allow him to secretly arrange for Ellie’s escape. Dangerous people are closing in on her, however, and Bensin is running out of time. With his one hope fading quickly away, how can Bensin save Ellie from a life of slavery and abuse?
Annie creates a story with a plot and characters that draw you in and kept you interested until the last page. Be prepared for a wild ride. There were times that I was afraid to turn the next page because I was scared to see what would happen. There was so much depth to each and every character. You will be invested to see what happens to all the characters. During the martial art fight scenes I was on the edge of my seat.
Interesting and unique storyline with great characters. This was a refreshing read that will keep you interested to the very end.
