Jemma-Leigh’s mother told her “You don’t sleep with a man you just met”. It seems like easy advice, but when a sexy new guy moves in down the street, all bets are off. Running the antique shop in her rural Georgia town seems simple too, but when one of her customers is murdered the sheriff blames her new man. Can Jemma-Leigh clear his name and find the killer before the killer finds her?

This is a novella of approx. 20,000 words.

While erotica is not the focus of this story, it does contain detailed sexual and adult content. Reader discretion is advised

***Katie – #NerdGirlKtLBLy’s  Review***

Jemma-Leigh is newly in charge of her recently deceased grandmother’s antique shop. She doesn’t necessarily want to be in charge of it and shows up late a lot of the time but it’s at least a steady job for her. One day an old friend named Dawson comes back to town and Jemma-Leigh brings over brownies to talk and invite him out for coffee. Dawson meets her at the shop for coffee and they talk and she notices a man who is acting nervous and a little weird and she asks if he needs help with anything but he doesn’t and leaves right away after that. Not thinking anything of it she goes back to her coffee and later that night closes up. On her way home she notices her brother Adam, who is a sheriff, out so she stops to talk to him. He proceeds to tells her about a man who was shot and killed. Jemma-Leigh notices that it’s the same nervous man from her shop. Everyone assumes newly back to town Dawson did it so Jemma-Leigh must find out the truth and see if Dawson did do it or if the killer is still out there.
This is a short story but it explained characters and motives very well. The characters backstory was well thought out and executed very well too. If you’re looking for a short, cozy mystery I’d recommend checking this out.
