Going through “the change” isn’t easy on any woman. Mood swings, hot flashes, hormonal imbalances, and itchy skin are par for the course. But for these four seemingly unrelated women, menopause brought changes none of them had ever anticipated–super-heroic changes.

Helen discovers a spark within that reignites her fire. Jessica finds that her mood is lighter, and so is her body. Patricia always had a tough hide, but now even bullets bounce off her. Linda doesn’t have trouble opening the pickle jar anymore…now that she’s a man.

When events throw the women together, they find out that they have more in common than they knew–one person has touched all their lives. The hunt for answers is on.

***Gladys, #NerdGirlOfficial, #XoXoTheNerdGirl Review***
First, I want to say that the premise is solid. A group of women obtaining their superhero powers after going through the change (menopause) and then seeing an alternative medicine doctor to help their symptoms.

Each woman have different remedies and have different outcomes BUT later come together to figure things out. The book while humorous and light, took me a while to read and I found myself re-reading back a few pages because I was lost between characters. (Which honestly could have been me)

Since this is a new story I feel like the development of the world and the characters were done well, but it was slower then most and the ending while ok left me lost.

With all of this said, I wouldn’t hesitate to give book 2 if there is a book 2 a chance. This looks as if it could be a series and the author can quite possibly progress with each page she writes!!

3 stars for Samantha Bryant!

Thanks so much for the review. And, yes, there is definitely a sequel. It’s scheduled for release in April 2016.
