Aveyana’s world will never be the same.

After an unexpected attack claims her mom, seventeen-year-old Veya is forced to abandon the only home she’s ever known and the only boy she’s ever loved to make a new life on Pangalax, a US space station.

Heartbroken, angry, and homesick, she resents her dad’s decision to move and his demand to hide her unique abilities. As she suspected, appearing normal proves to be nearly impossible, especially around Kye, a way-too-handsome officer who is determined to break through her walls.

But can he be trusted?

Can anyone be trusted?

As Veya uncovers the deep, dark secrets of Pangalax, her very existence becomes threatened. Only one person can save her.

Is she willing to forget the past and trust him with her life?

Amazing Book! S.M. Koz Blew me away with this one and I am one pins and needles to find out what comes next! I am a big fan of this genre and its been a while since I have been this fired up about a new book! the characters were incredible and the scenes where amazing! you were on your toes through out the whole book just knowing something else was just around the corner!

S.M. Koz has a incredible and flowing way of telling the story so that it seems seamless and you don’t know your at the end until you suddenly find your self there.I never wanted my time in her world to end and I wanted to jump into the book and help out her characters time and time again.

Veya is a totally relatable character even with her alien side, she is the typical teen throwing tantrums and sneaking about. Kye trys to be the typical hard ass army Sargent but can’t be around Veya and it gets them in all kinds of trouble…lol…what I like about the two of them is that they work well as a team no matter the things going on between them. Rescuing Veya’s mother is the mission and nothing will stop Veya from finding out the truth.

One of the other things I loved about the book was that it took place on MARS! how cool is that! we didn’t get to see or hear about it very much except that it was a barren cold place but That it reminded Veya of her home planet and the people she left behind was heart-rending and made the reasons for the trip even more real and poignant for me. The reasons for their being stationed there were interesting and came up quite a few times in the book and I wonder if it will be even more important in the following book.

This book was quite fantastic and I highly recommend it to one and all! get your copy today!
