She was the heir of ash and fire, and she would bow to no one.

Celaena Sardothien has survived deadly contests and shattering heartbreak—but at an unspeakable cost. Now she must travel to a new land to confront her darkest truth…a truth about her heritage that could change her life—and her future—forever.

Meanwhile, brutal and monstrous forces are gathering on the horizon, intent on enslaving her world. To defeat them, Celaena must find the strength to not only fight her inner demons but to battle the evil that is about to be unleashed.

***Gladys #NerdGirlOfficial #XoXoTheNerdGirl Review***
When a nonreader looks at a book that is over 500 pages, they often find it daunting.  Almost scary!  I saw it as a glass half full.  I just knew that Sarah J. Maas couldn’t cram enough information in the pages of her book and that she would leave me breathless and with more questions at the close of the hardcover back.
In this book Celaena Sardothien has been through enough.  Seen and lived through more than a girl her age should.  It has provided her the strength and the bravery she needs to forge on as she sails for the world where the fae and magic runs free!  Will she be welcome?  Will she capture what she needs within her heart to return to Terresan and do the right thing.
I loved this book, but then again I love all of Sarah’s books. She is truly gifted with the creative word.  Celaena’s world is one thing, but the introduction of Rowan, the fae prince and the evil witch Manon.  WHICH I have found that I really like.  She was strong and determined but is on the wrong side.  I would like to see how her character develops.  There is more to Manon and Ceaena’s relationship!!!
Sarah’s world building is consistent and impeccable.  I would love to peak in her mind and see what exactly goes on in there, but for now I will just live in the world within the pages of her books.
5 stars and another tip of my Nerd Girl hat!!!
