***Cianna #NerdGirlSunshine Review***
The cover for this novel drew me in, it’s beautiful and engaging, plus the main character’s name is so close to mine that was fun! I felt this book had an interesting plot, and very unique characters but the punctuation and grammer issues didn’t allow me to give it a higher rating. I felt that the plot, dealing with the girl who can predict the future, was very interesting and would’ve made a great novel on it’s own but adding aliens on top of it pushed this novel a bit over the top for me.
I thought the group of friends was hilarious, and the Iron Chef scene was very funny. I liked Cinna the most. She seemed down to earth and very relatable. Some of the other characters were harder for me to relate to, and some of their dialogue and actions were a little cliche and unbeilable at times. I liked the idea of a bunch of friends all having houses on the same street, but it’s not really something that happens often at that age.
Overall, I loved the basis of the story, there’s real potential here for an outstanding story, even with the aliens, but I think it may benefit from a little more editing, and a few beta readers :) This author definitely has an awesome creative mind, and was able to craft this big elaborate story line, but it just didn’t hit home for me.
