***Kat #NerdGirlParanormal Review***
This is a short story about a young woman who has had a rocky start to finding love.

Jezza has been alone since the death of her grandfather but his passing did pave the way for her to start the bookshop of her dreams with her best friend.

One day a chance meeting at the gun range takes her love life on a more of a positive path.

Will Jezza and Jackson make a future together…. or will the past come back to smash her happiness apart.

What I thought:

The writing is quite descriptive, I enjoyed the description of the cottage and of the characters.
The storyline had quite  a lot of world building for a short story and after the initial few meetings it jumps forward to when they are starting to become more involved.

I enjoyed this short story.

Jackson sounds like a swoon worthy book  boyfriend, and there are a few steamy passages so this is an over 18 read.

And the only thing that I could say that I had doubts about, was the ending.  The authors gone for a dramatic event occurring but the follow through was too abrupt and glossed over. if it had more of the detail of the initial introduction, although I know that the author has the word count constraints

Also the fate of the ex-boyfriend was too convenient for my taste and Jezza’s reaction to it was way too forgiving, but that’s a personal view and other readers may not have the same opinion as myself.

for a short story I am impressed with the amount of detail the author has given the reader to visualize the story and characters.

I will look into what other works the author has written as I am sure that by this little taster I will enjoy a full novel or novella.
