Synopsis

Anna Rosa Castillo is unlike most 16 year old girls.

She doesn’t care for clothes or make up, nor does she giggle with her friends about hot guys. Coming from a small town in the North of England, where drugs and criminals are at the top of the food chain, Anna’s life is an impossible mixture of pain and sorrow. Drawing and tattoos are her only way of escaping the tortures that consume her at home. She lives by only one rule – do whatever he says, and she might live long enough to get away.

All that changes when a fatal night lands the monster of her nightmares in a prison cell and herself in a hospital bed, staring into the eyes of a father she has never known.
The addition of a father and family turns Anna’s life upside-down, thrusting her into a world she could never understand. Inner demons and unspeakable memories claw at her as she tries to build a relationship with her new family. But with her past looming over her new life, will she be able to break free?

***Shelly – #NerdGirlXrayer’s  Review***
Anna Rosa Castillo is unlike most 16 year old girls. She has lived her 16 years in he!!. She has endured things that no human being should have to but she fight on and tries to stay strong. When tragedy happens her life is turned upside down when she goes to live with the father, and his family, that she has never met. Her life as she knows it will forever change.

I don’t want to give away any spoilers but I will tell you to have your tissues ready. You will be on an emotional rollercoaster as you read Anna’s story. Anna is only 16 but is a strong lady. You will follow her as she goes from a recluse girl who interacts with no one to a outgoing girl who has a loving family and friends that will stand by her side. You will also love the characters that stand by Anna and hate the ones who made her life he!! in the past.

Not only do you see Anna grow but you will understand the importance of family and friends that will be there for you through the pain. Dave, Mel, and Logan open their arms and heart and welcome Anna into their home. They pick her up when she admits the horrors of her past and help protect her. The is beautifully written and will wrap itself around your heart, breaking it a times and then repairing it. At the end you will feel the love of this family.
