My life has been turned upside down since I WITNESSED my mother’s death nine months ago. To ESCAPE the reality of the accident, I would slip into my dream world to be with Joshua Lawson, the star from my favourite TV, Victor. Then it all CHANGED, when Mark Hobson joined our school.

Wendy, my best friend was sure he liked me, and I liked him, but would we ever be in a relationship? I doubted it, when every girl in the school DROOLED over him.

***Stephenee, #NerdGirlSteph Review***

This is book 2 in Dream World series and book 1 should be read first in order to understand what is going on in the story.  The author takes us back into Debbie’s life.  She is still reeling from the loss of her mother 9 months earlier and the fact that she witnessed the accident.  She is still working through the changes in her friendship with Wendy since Wendy started dating Simon and most importantly she is trying to ignore her growing feelings for Mark all while thinking she is cheating on Josh (her fictional boyfriend).  It is a web of love, lies and teenage drama – especially when some of the drama is from Debbie’s daydreams.

The author does an amazing job at bringing the characters to life for the reader. She makes them feel as if they are back in high school, or walking to the park and hanging out with friends.  The reader feels as if they are a part of the family, especially when the twins arrive.

The plot flows smoothly and quickly and the reader finds themselves immersed in their own dreamworld as they follow along with the story.  The reader can’t help but to cheer for the characters to find their happily ever after!  The author weaves a tale so fun, so descriptive and so real that the reader laughs, cries and screams all throughout the book.

This is a fun read that deals with some deeper feelings and emotions that the reader can’t help but feel along with the characters and at the same time they are so caught up in the story that they don’t realize how much time has passed since they started reading. Make sure you add this to your TBR list along with book 1 and be prepared to meet some characters that stay with you long after you have finished reading the book.  Sit back and get ready to enjoy a great story!
