RESIST ME IS THE FIRST INSTALLMENT IN THE STEAMY MCCOY RAVEN BROTHERS ROMANTIC SUSPENSE SERIES. ALL BOOKS IN THIS SERIES ARE STANDALONE AND CAN BE READ IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER, BUT THEY INTERCONNECT.
HEA, NO CLIFFHANGER*
Due to mature themes, strong language, and sexual situations, this series is intended for adult readers only.
One fateful morning changes everything.
Lisbeth Anderson, the lone eyewitness of a shocking murder, believes the FBI witness protection program may be the only way for her to survive. But when a powerful explosion reduces the safe house to ashes, killing all of the FBI agents on duty, will she turn to a perfect stranger for help?
Ethan McCoy, a former-Marine-turned-
One morning at dawn, Ethan’s fire brigade is called to a fatal house explosion that levels the structure. When he pries open a trap door to the hidden panic room under the house, he finds a gorgeous, though disheveled brunette. Lisbeth instantly turns Ethan’s world upside down, and he’s overcome by the burning desire to protect her, no matter the consequences.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh!! Mystery, intrigue, muscle military veterans turned firefighters and a damsel in distress!! What do you do when you get a book like that! Read it of course silly! I am a huge fan of A.O. Peart and her writing style in this book reminds me of another one of my favorite authors Maya Banks. Especially Maya Banks KGI Series. So, if your a fan of the KGI Series, don’t hesitate grab this book!!
Gloria (real name Lisbeth) is under the Witness Protection Program for being the only person who can identify a brutal rape and murder. Once strong, she often battles with herself and her lack of control due to what Ethan refered to PTSD. He should know about it, he has his own demons to battle after serving in the military. AND THAT DEMON WAS THE REASON WHY HE NEEDED TO HELP LISBETH!!
And help he did! The sexual tension between the two was thick enough to cut with a knife but they are troopers. (PARDON my pun). I loved the two of them together their chemistry was not lacking and even given the situation they were in, they still managed to get to know each other. The side characters are awesome. I must have a book about Chris, Ethan’s lesbian BFF who is a aramedic in the same town.
Love! Love! Love this book. I can’t wait to dive into Reclaime Me!!! So exiting. I tip my Nerd Girl hat to you for the 4th time Mrs. Peart! Take a bow please!!
