Your Review (Paste in box): If you’re in the mood for a sweet romance to curl up with, then this is the book for you. Vanessa Noble’s book Gray’s Skye is a wonderful read and gives you a beautiful look at the Scottish Highlands. I loved the imagery she projected of Scotland, as well as Chicago. I felt like I was really there with her characters.
The story itself was wonderful. It’s something I think many people can relate to; a divorced woman who isn’t sure about love again yet gives love a second chance. The relationship between Lucy and Gray was slow and sweet; I think it was perfect for the story. Neither of them wanted to rush into things for fear of hurting the other. I loved watching their romance blossom and grow, especially later in the book.
I feel that Lucy is just fantastic. She is fierce when she needs to be, yet never looses who she really is. What I loved most about Lucy is her determination: she was determined to be a writer and she was determined to make the best of a long distance relationship with Gray.
Gray is what I think every American woman wants in a Scotsman: smart, loving, caring and of course sexy with that sexy as sin accent. I could hear it every time I read something he said. I don’t know how long I’d last in Scotland if I were with a hot Scot talking to me. I loved that he didn’t pressure Lucy into more than she was ready for; he was incredibly patient with her.
All in all, fantastic book and I cannot wait for more from Vanessa Noble. I hope that the next book in her series co
