Synopsis

The truth is in the evidence. Follow your nose, keep an ear to the ground and don’t believe everything you hear. Tyson Cartwright has always known who he was and becoming the Adirondack Pack’s Enforcer was the goal from the very start. He loves his job, but not today. Someone in the pack isn’t who they say they are. It isn’t the first time and it won’t be the last that Tyson has to rid the pack of a spy. These are the people he calls his friends and family and one of them is lying to him. His gut has an idea but is it just because he doesn’t like the man his sister has taken up with or is there something more to Jack Naughton? For Jenny’s sake he better know for sure it’s Jack before dispensing justice because once a wolf goes over the line, there is no coming back.

***Katie – #NerdGirlKtLBLy Review***
Tyson Cartwright is a werewolf Pack Enforcer and knows what his job entails. If the evidence leads to someone being guilty of a crime, then he is the one that takes care of it. The pack leader Owen has been noticing a lot more animal attacks that have been going on and thinks that another werewolf clan, the “Canidae”, are the ones behind it. Not only that, he thinks that there is a spy in their pack trying to get information from them to the Canidae and wants Tyson to figure out who it is. Tyson believes that it’s his sister’s new boyfriend Jack, and tries spying on him to catch him. However, when another attack happens and he looks into it he’s shocked and devastated at who the killer is.
This was a short story but it set up the all the characters and ideas very well. Everyone has enough of a backstory so you can really connect with them and remember them for the future stories. It is a genuine shock of who the killer is and you really feel and understand why it’s so hard for Tyson to do what he has to do.
