Zak, an alien from a planet called Geonyn, suspects that his girlfriend of four years is cheating on him. When one day he sees her entering a strange spaceship in front of her house, he decides to follow her, and, just like he thought, he discovers his girlfriend is being unfaithful. Heartbroken, he gets drunk, climbs into his flying saucer, and launches into space without destination. However, he falls asleep on his way and his invisible ship crashes into a planet called Earth.
When he wakes up and explores this strange new land, he is surprised to see there are people from his planet living there. And at seeing a beautiful female from his species enter a building, he decides to go after her. What he doesn’t know is that he has landed in front of a coliseum in which the Comic Con is taking place, and that the beautiful female of his species he saw is actually a human wearing an alien costume. But that’s okay, because when he talks to her, she thinks he’s wearing a costume, too.
A Rygen Boy from Geonyn on Earth is a 28,000-word novella full of comedy and romance from fantasy author Christian Blackmore.
After seeing his girlfriend of 4 years cheat on him, Zak (heartbroken) takes the spaceship his father gave him along with a lot of alcohol and decides to get away from everyone and everything for a while. He meant to just cruise the galaxy for a while then head home but in his drunken state he falls asleep and his ship runs out of gas and lands on Earth. He lands at a coliseum where a Comic Con is going on and he sees many strange creatures and surprisingly it seems a few people from his own planet are there. He’s excited so he does the necessary precautions with his ship by making it invisible, and changing his voice so he can communicate to them and see if they can help him find some gas so that he can get home. He sees and is attracted to one of the girls there, named Chloe, who decides to help him. She thinks that he is just a boy in a costume because he has a large gray bald head with large oval eyes and doesn’t think anything of it being around a lot of more outlandish costumes. She thinks he is trying to hit on her and is just being weird and awkward about it. Chloe and her friend Veronica give him a can of gas and he takes them up in his ship to see if their gas will work. They of course realizing that he is in fact a real alien and not a boy in a costume, freak out.
This story was short but it gave all the information it needed. It didn’t drag in any parts and it was genuinely a cute story. There is a surprise villain that shows up and makes Zak second guess some things and you aren’t very sure if he will make the right decisions or not and some decisions he made I was actually shocked by. The closer I got to the end I was actually getting more and more nervous because I had no idea how it was going to end. I knew how I wanted it to end and was hoping that it would end a certain way, but I really didn’t know if it would or not. Overall though I really did enjoy this great story.
