***Kristin – #NerdGirlSoldier’s  Review***
Holy Smokes! Move over Bella and Edward because Desmond LaGrange and Abigail Montgomery are the new vampire/human power couple. I devoured this book and loved every page! I loved that Abby was independent and stubborn. She also wasn’t one of those female characters who whined about all the bad things that happened to her; she just took them in stride. Yes she struggled with all of the new found paranormal things she discovered but she didn’t stomp her feet and say “poor me.” I loved her strength and her ability to love. Abby grew throughout the book in several ways, but I don’t want to give anything away so you’ll just have to pick up a copy of the book and find out how Abby changes. You think you can guess, but you’ll be wrong. Read it!

Desmond LaGrange. If ever there was a male vampire that I’d like for my birthday this month, it would be him. He’s strong, sexy, confident and alpha. Des is also loving, nurturing and has his own struggles. I enjoyed that the author wrote the book in third person so that I could get a sense of what went on in Des’ life before he met Abby and why he feels such a strong connection to her. Des battles his own past throughout the story and you’ll find that he’s a vampire with a conscience. I loved that he wanted to protect Abby from everything bad and that he wanted nothing more from her than her love and acceptance. Des also changes throughout the book…and again you’ll have to buy the book to find out more.

The story flows wonderfully! I loved the plot twists and turns that it took. I was completely entranced by this book and the characters. The secondary characters were fantastic. I loved that I laughed at parts, sniffled a few times and that I could see all of the emotions from Abby and Des. I can’t wait to read more from this new found favorite author.
