Synopsis

We are in darkness. We are alone.

They came from the lands of light. They came with torches, with lanterns, with the banners of the sun. The children of endless day—they came to banish the darkness.

And they came to kill.

We are the children of never-ending night. We are the dwellers of shadow. In the light of our enemy, we are dying.

We were born in darkness. We must cast out the light. This is our story.

***Cianna -#NerdGirlSunshine’s  Review***

Amazing! I’m kicking myself for waiting so long to get into the sequel to Moth! This one takes what was presented in Moth, and raises the bar even higher! Arenson is insanely talented. This world is lush, these battles are amazing, and it’s just so well planned out that you’re drawn in right away. In Empires of Moth, we’re really given a look into more characters in the world outside of just Koyee and Torin, Ferius is still just as evil, and continuing to destroy everything, but with the insight from other critical characters we’re really about to get a broader view of both worlds.

The author creates incredibly complex characters, and really tests them through fire. One of the best moments in book 2 is when Koyee meats Okada. For it, it really brought out something different in Koyee, and I really loved that growth. Nothing is stale in book 2. The battles are bigger, the stakes are higher, and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! :)

I couldn’t guess the twists and turns presented in book 2, and I am anxious to start book 3 because the ending definately leave you having. This book has everything you want in a fantasy/action novel, and much more. You can’t beat this series for value or quality content. If you’re caught up on Game of Thrones, or sad about The Hobbit movies ending, pick up this series! :)
