Title: Escaping Shadows (Shadow World #2)
Author: Julieanne Lynch
Published Date: December 10th 2011
***THIS BOOK WAS GIVEN TO ME IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW***
Giselle has barely had time to accept her new life, never mind the prospect of motherhood, but she finds herself, yet again thrown into chaos, only this time there is more than just her life at stake.
With vampires and shadow creatures vying for her life, can Giselle escape the darkness consuming her, or will she finally descend into the world of shadows?
I will confess I was a little nervous when I saw that there was a lot of switching perspectives and the story told from several voices (as opposed to book 1 which is totally Giselle centered) but I needn’t have worried. The extra viewpoints add so much to the unfolding tale and are done in such a way that it doesn’t take on the choppy feel that can easily happen.
This second installment takes you way out of the normal realm (literally) and this again sets it even further from the normal teenage girl / vampire books already on the shelves.
For those of us that like things a little darker this is a must read! Bring on book 3!!
5 out of 5 stars for me!! V””V
