A little sister lost.

A family tree withered.

A journey to save the past.

Max Valentine is a walking supernova.
On the run and searching for answers, his light darkens.
Dark skies on the horizon make his next chapter ominous.
His powers are fading but still he pushes toward the storm.
Embers still burn but can he survive this one truth…

…love is eternal but the heart is not.

***Stephenee – #NerdGirlSteph’s  Review***

WTF?!?!? That was literally my first thought when I started reading this book and again when I finished reading this book!!  This story went from amazing to beyond belief amazing! The twists, turns, loops and curves kept me up most of the night reading and even when I stopped for bed I was still thinking about the characters, the plot and what could possibly happen next to Max, Asia, Sam and the gang.  The author kept the reader on the edge of their seat with this one – it was a non-stop adventure ride and one in which I want to take again and again.

The story starts off with Max visiting his sister’s grave and ends with Max’s mom…yep…Max’s mom….what a bombshell to drop on us and then expect someone to be able to function normally when all they can think about is what happened in this story and what is going to happen next!  I laughed, cried, yelled, and mourned throughout this book and I know that anyone else that reads it will do the same.  The reader becomes invested in these characters and they become family and friends and when something happens to them you actually feel like it is happening to you as well.

The author pulls you into the story and into the world of Max, Asia, Sam, Uncle Frank, Madison and the island of Maui and you can’t help wanting to stay there with them.  The reader becomes a part of the story, I could vividly picture the setting, the clouds, the rain and the fire throughout the story – I almost forgot that it was just a story, that is how good of a book it is! Do yourself a favor and get this one and book one so you can become just as engrossed as I have in their world.  Make sure you add this one and the others to your TBR list! You don’t want to miss out on anything that this series or author has to offer!
