***THIS BOOK WAS GIVEN TO ME IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW***
Torn apart by a tragedy, pushed together by fate. Nothing is coincidence.
Riley and Josh have been through it all together, first as best friends and now as a couple.
Faced with a decision that will test their relationship, these two learn to fight harder than ever before to keep their hearts intact. Once the decision is made, there is no going back. With the past creeping into their present, and miles between them, they learn nothing is easy. Every moment matters.
Can Riley and Josh survive the first year of college apart? Will their love remain strong enough to embrace every moment that belongs to them? Or will someone from the past interfere, take what he wants and ruin them forever?
“For each star in the sky, I have a reason why I love you. When you look up at night, never forget this truth.” ~Josh Parker
Not recommended for anyone under the age of 17 due to underage drinking, sexual content and adult language.
This is book two in the series. To better understand the characters and the story line, I strongly encourage reading the books in order. These are not stand-alone novels.
Love is a beautiful thing….at least while you are together. Riley and Josh have finally sorted through their feeling and emotions and are going to be together. There is so much love between the two but so much miscommunication…or no communication. Just when you think they will overcome anything Preslee and Dean just won’t go away. Neither of them are very good at expressing their emotions, but when they do there are fireworks! Regardless of whether they are getting along or fighting…it’s explosive. There love is tested and things get out of hand and just when you don’t think anything else can happen or go wrong, well, look out because there is always a twist.
“Moments come and go, and so many slip by without us truly living them. Promise me that you will embrace the moments as they come… live in them and make mistakes. It’s okay to make them.”
“I was angry at the world, and the shit hand cards it kept dealing to the table. I FOLD so now can we move on, pretty f***ing please, I mentally begged of fate.”
“It’s easy to forget the small things when life happens and ash is left after the burning, but I remember the small things…”
There are so many memorable things about this story. There is plenty of witty banter and they way their feelings explode is amazing. I found myself getting frustrated at times because they just don’t communicate well and they story dwells on these things a little too much. But overall this is an amazing story to give you the “feels”. Also, don’t forget the playlist! Ah-mazing! 4 1/2 stars!!!!
