The time of Odin is over. The Aesir gods now live among the humans in their bustling modern cities. Their brutal dominion over the other gods and their eradication of the entire dark elf race may have ended, but their actions have not been forgotten.

With the death of Adrian still haunting Taer’s every waking breath, she dreams of getting revenge on the dark elf responsible for her brother’s murder. But when the one person she’s depending on to train her in the art of weaponry refuses to help, she has no other choice but to get instruction from the most unlikely of people. Driven by an undeniable desire, Taer finds herself learning more than just how to fight.

Eir, the goddess of healing, has had her spirit destroyed with the death of her twin at the hands of a deranged god. Still struggling with her loss, she is merely surviving each day. That is until a chance encounter with a human shows her that her broken heart can be mended in the simplest of ways.

***Amanda – #NerdGirlWitch’s  Review***

This was a amazing read! Lauren Dawes is an incredible author and I couldn’t put the book down for a second! I love Oden, Valkyrie’s and all the myths and legends that go along with it. Lauren brought her own twist to it and really made it a worthwhile read. I really liked her twist on Loki and the role he played in this ONE, He is such a sinister and evil character and Lauren really made him stand out in this one.

My favourite part of the book was when the training with the katanas and the dream jumping was happening. This was amazing! and Lauren really did these scenes well. I loved Aubrey’s Character he and Taer were awesome together and I hope to read more about them! Mason and Eir where beyond cute in this one! and I totally cried over Sophie! it was the sadist part of the book! there is so much heartache and sadness at some parts that it makes your heart want to break.

I was a little lost at some parts at the beginning and realized that there was a first book, however it doesn’t take away anything from the story itself but made me very INTERESTED to learn what came before..lol…so I went out to purchased the first book and can’t wait to read it and can’t wait for more to this story! if you haven’t read the series I would recommend it!
