***Gladys – #NerdGirlOficial’s  Review***

Rue Volley’s second stand alone short in the Kitty Bang Bang actually made me cry!  It was either the use of my favorite high school song, Wild Horses covered by The Sundays or the heartbreak Kat felt through the story, but whatever it was my emotions were raw at the end.  I really wanted more of their story and wanted to read MORE about the duo!

Rue does a phenomenal job creating a story within the pages of a short story.  Her character, Kat, had emotions so raw it was like a wound being reopened with a fast pull of a Band-Aid.  Who can write like that?  Give Characters life!  Give a story a plot and an end (leaving you a longing for more)!  AND making sure the CONTEMPORARY world they live in as beautifully freaking real as anyone’s who is reading it.

It takes a special kind of writer to my ones heart bleed.  I tip my Nerd Girl Hat to you!  I can’t wait for the next short in the series and of course for Kissing Fish!!
