***Stephenee -#NerdGirlSteph Review***
Tracey Jane Jackson is a new to me author, and I am glad that I found her (or she found me)! I didn’t read the first book in the series and I was able to jump right into Bound By Fire (book 2) and not miss a beat, however, I loved the story and the characters so much that I really need to pick up book 1 now. The Cauld Ane series features characters that have a supernatural component, but it isn’t the normal vampire or werewolf, it is something more original and much more fun to learn about.  The book just starts to delve into the “cold ones” and this is something that definitely peaked my interest.  The main characters Connall, Pepper, Dalton, Sam and Kade were fun to read about and they were well developed and felt like friends by the end of the book.

The author did a great job with setting the scenes and with the flow of the plot.  There were very few holes and the author did such a great job describing the city, the private jet, the horse stables and even the greenery in Scotland that the reader felt as if they were there with the characters.  The story has undeniable chemistry between the characters and the mind speak only enhances the connection that you can feel between them.  The book has some profanity and sexual/sensual scenes, but nothing erotic or off putting.  I love how the author combined a mystery, love, and paranormal all into one great read! The twists and turns throughout the book are fun, unpredictable and help the reader to understand all that the author has to offer.

Add this book to your TBR list and be prepared to want to read all of the other books in this series! I will be adding them to mine, because this book was like a potato chip, once you had one you can’t stop! I can’t wait to learn more about the “cold ones”, the connections between the characters, the mindspeak and their inability to be hotter than a certain temperature….this author has a unique storyline and it is one that I want to read more of! Don’t miss out on an amazing book!
