***THIS BOOK WAS GIVEN TO ME IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW***
The last thing Officer Tess McCoy expects is to meet her sexy new neighbor wearing nothing but her birthday suit, but since her partner’s death six weeks before, nothing seems to go the way she plans.
Despite his incredible good looks, Tess needs to keep her distance from the sexy stranger. The last thing she needs is another complication in her life, and the man living across the street looks like he could be a very big, very sexy complication.
But her life takes a startling turn when Jack rescues her from would-be kidnappers in the dead of night. Now, she needs Jack’s help to stay safe and find out who wants her, and why.
Sparks fly high as things between them heat up, and Tess can only wonder if she’ll escape the ones attempting to kill her, only to fall victim to Jack’s killer charm.
Chastity Bush did it again! She sucked me into this story just like her other book! I loved this one. The plot line was fully developed and the characters were smoking hot! When Officer Tess McCoy looses her partner on the job, her world ends. She takes time off to not only grieve the loss of her best friend, but to discover if being a cop anymore is what she wants. Tess meets her sexy new neighbor, Jack, in the most hysterical way. Read the book to find out what happened. The sexual tension between the two of them sizzles. You can feel it come off the page. You don’t just get romance in this book; you also get a mystery. Who kills her partner’s widow? And why are they trying to kidnap Tess? I was incredibly surprised when Chastity unveiled who was behind everything and it wasn’t who I thought did it. This book was very well written and I enjoyed reading it. The characters were amazing. Tess is very independent but she relents to let Jack help her. She’s selfless and wants to shield her friends from what’s going on. Jack is your average typical guy, except that he’s a PI and smoking hot! He’s not an alpha male or in your face. Don’t get me wrong, I love some alpha males, but Jack was done just right. He was supportive when he needed to be and protective when it counted. You should really pick up a copy now and read!
