***THIS BOOK WAS GIVEN TO ME IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW***
WARNING: STRINGS is not suitable for slut shamers, uptight stone throwers, Holier-Than-Thou prudes, humorless virgins, persons with chronic neck or back pain, pearl-clutching bitties, those who disparage crude humor or vulgarity in their many forms, closed-minded people with sticks up their asses, or anyone under the age of 18. The vile, base language and shocking, unholy sexual acts contained herein are not condoned by anyone with a lick of sense and should certainly not be reproduced without proper training and protection. The potty-mouthed and perpetually horny “heroine” (the term is used loosely) of this book does not resemble a normal, well-adjusted, or remotely believable person in any way, shape, or form. The author acknowledges that the characters in this book are shallow and two-dimensional; the plot is both ridiculous and insipid. She makes no apologies for any of it.
* Readers are strongly advised to wear latex gloves whilst reading to minimize contamination risks.
Free-spirited musician Letty Dillinger adheres to a strict, “no strings attached” policy when it comes to men. After a wild night of unabashed sex in a fancy hotel room, she never expects to see the adventurous stud she dubs “Shades” again. When her all-girl rock trio books a tour at the last minute as the opening act for their archenemies, Letty’s shocked to discover she knows the competition’s new lead singer. Intimately. Shades is no longer a one-night stand. Now he’s the guy she has to one-up on stage every night for the sake of her career.
Sharing close quarters on a bus with her sexy nemesis and his bad-boy buddies puts Letty’s Golden Rule to the test. On this tour, guitar strings aren’t the only things being played. And when heartstrings are pulled too hard, they’re bound to snap sooner or later.
STRINGS is incredibly hardcore and over the top. Go into this expecting it to be extremely dirty and fun. This is what the author told me before I started reading. OMFG! This is badass! The entire story is extreme but so is the heroine, Letty. Even if erotica is not your thing, I suggest you give it a try because the story is absolutely amazing!
Letty is part of an all girl rock band. What could be better? A lot. She has a bad job, little money, but is doing her best to make it. For “The Rock”. Her life is music. Shades is part of a rock band as well but he is a lot more smooth and laid back but rather adventurous. He is also doing his best to show everyone his true passion and make it too.
One night while Letty is down on her luck she meets Shades and they share one of the most crazy nights together. She runs and tries to leave it as a one night stand. In a series of fortunate events, Letty’s band and Shades’ band end up touring together. There is past bad blood between the two bands so they are constantly trying to keep their “relationship” under wraps. Letty is a hot mess on her own but thrown into the craziness of band life, trying to promote the bands in order to make money to continue the tour, and overcoming issues within their own bands….well, lets just say it throws this story into hysterics. Everyone is foul-mouthed and completely crazy. The two bands are put in a bad situation when they both lose a band mate but overcome horrible odds and end up rocking out together for an amazing night.
This book is extremely R rated with a ton of my favorite lines. I’ve picked a few that are a little more tame for my review…if you love these, wait until you see the good ones!
“Jillian puffs on her cigarette casually, like her panties never even thought about getting in a wad. Her bad ass probably goes commando to avoid the possibility.”
“You were put on the Earth to rock. Go forth and wow the world with your baddassery.”
“We’re absolutely to die for. A little salty, a little sour, but five stars any way you mix us.”
“Donkey cocks humping a dump truck’s junk.”
STRINGS is a hardcore, hot mess but in the most amazing way! Extreme and hysterical…and there is a love story! ROCK ON!
