***THIS BOOK WAS GIVEN TO ME IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW***
The sizzling, second installment in the Alexa Reed series.
Beautiful and successful Alexa Reed has dark secrets in her past that prevent her from trusting in love. Her fears start to fade when she meets charismatic, South Beach hotel owner, Julian Bauer, who is willing to put his extravagant playboy lifestyle behind him just to be with her.
He’s a man who likes a challenge.
Alexa’s newfound bliss is still fragile as she struggles to deal with the trauma of her ex-boyfriend’s death. Is Julian’s love for Alexa strong enough to heal her emotional scars and convince her their love is real?
Alexa is not the only one with secrets and what’s to come threatens to destroy their future together. Now it’s Julian who needs Alexa more than ever. Will she be able to hold on?
Lexie is still struggling with her past, but is making a honest effort in trying to overcome it all and finally move on and live her life. Lexie suffers so much in this book, you can’t help but feel it with her. Just when you think things are going good a situation comes up that devastates both her and Julian. She makes some bad choices. Julian is so in love with her and he tries his hardest to make her see what’s right in front of her. He suffers alot in this book too, we see his vulnerable side and his determination. Will she hold on or will she make the biggest mistake of her life?
I felt every emotion with each of the characters. I’m really speechless, I really don’t know how to explain how good this book is. It’s one hell of a roller coaster ride, you get all of the emotional turmoil, you see the happiness and feel e overwhelming sadness. You see the determination in both of them and you hold out hope it all works out. There are some u answered questions and I’m truly excited to see what happens in the next book. I would definitely recommend this book and the first one, you will not be disappointed. It deserves more than five stars.
