Two people haunted by their past…
The collision of two damaged hearts…
Meet Elizabeth Williams. She is at the airport on an important work assignment. If everything goes smoothly, after three years of hard work, she’ll get a promotion and a much-needed raise. Elizabeth is putting her life back on track after it was ripped out from under her feet four years ago when she lost her parents along with all her dreams. Standing here, she believes her life is going to change for the better any moment now. Nothing can go wrong, right?
Meet Ryan Price. He came to Moscow on business. Right now, Ryan is standing at the airport looking at a ‘present’ from his brother, judging by the sign a beautiful young woman is holding. Damn his brother for not cancelling this arrangement as Ryan asked.
Miscommunications and misunderstandings and a brilliant but painful love story begins.
There will be a scary flight, lovely breakfasts, long evening conversations, sharing a secret or two, discovering one another, a lot of laughter, tender moments and some tears, a fight and, of course, the I-am-ready-for-the-end-of-the-world kiss.
Somewhere along the way, they won’t be able to fight their feelings any longer.
For the first time in his life, Ryan will experience a different shade of lust. And for the first time in her life, Elizabeth will have to trust despite all of the times she has been hurt.
Will these two wounded lost souls find love, peace and comfort in each other or will they just break each other more? Is it a train wreck of a love story or a happily ever after?
THIS IS A NEW ADULT BOOK AND IS INTENDED FOR READERS WHO ARE AT LEAST 17 YEARS OLD. ADULT CONTENT/LANGUAGE/SITUATIONS ARE INSIDE.
Elizabeth, being an only child, was the light in her parent’s eyes. After losing her parents in a plane crash she moves to Moscow to live with her Grandma. She’s been working as an intern in a very hectic job and if she does this last job correctly she is hopefully going to get a promotion.
Ryan’s parents could care less about him or his brother Mark. His mother, after declaring that Ryan and the thing in her belly ruined her life, dies in childbirth and his father is the owner of many hotels all over the world and doesn’t have time for his kids, only his mistresses. After he passes away from a heart attack Ryan takes over the family business with Mark’s help.
After some misunderstanding at the airport, Elizabeth’s promotion is nowhere in sight and Ryan is very guilty about the turn of events. Elizabeth’s Grandmother is starting to get Alzheimer’s so Ryan offers her a job to help pay for the treatments.
They quickly become friends and both like each other a lot but Elizabeth thinks that her grieving and past trust issues would get in the way of a relationship and Ryan never had someone who truly loved him for him, they always loved him for his money. Elizabeth slowly shows Ryan that she does care for him and Ryan helps her with her grief until they both can’t stay away from each other anymore.
The story was told from both Elizabeth’s point of view and Ryan’s so you can see what they are both going through at the same time and I really liked that. The only negative thing I can say is, it did get a little repetitive with them liking each other but not actually getting together. Even though they would both get so jealous of the other one they still wouldn’t move forward right away. But overall it was a very good story.
