Synopsis

Seventeen-year-old Olivia Black has a rare birth defect known as Psyche Sans Soma, or PSS. Instead of a right hand made of flesh and blood, she was born with a hand made of ethereal energy.

How does Olivia handle being the girl with the ghost hand? Well, she’s a little bit morbid and a whole lot snarky.

Her mother thinks her obsession with death, black clothing, and the local cemetery is a bid for attention. But when Marcus, the new guy in Olivia’s calculus class, stares at her like she’s a freak, Olivia doesn’t like it. And when her hand goes rogue, doing things she never imagined possible, Olivia finds herself running for her life with Marcus from a group of men bent on taking the power of her hand for their own nefarious purposes.

***Amanda – #NerdGirlWitch’s Review***
Incredible story! Ripley Patton is a talented and creative genius! I couldn’t get enough of the story and certainly couldn’t put it down..lol…this was so unique and intriguing that you never knew what was going to happen next and I loved that. I also loved that it was a story unlike any I have ever come across before. Totally unique and completely incredible!

I really enjoyed each and everyone of the characters in this story except maybe Jason who was a complete pain in the ass which I hope he gets better in the next book. Nose was cool and I liked his sense of humour, Yale is a passive guy who doesn’t like to see others hurt and we didn’t get to know much about him but I got the overall sense that he was a good guy to have at your back and Marcus well there were times I liked him and others I didn’t but overall he was a good leader and a solid guy. Emma was one of my favs, she was a true and loyal friend and I hope we see more of her in book 2.

The bad guys were atrocious! they were everywhere an they never gave up! they were really good and really sneaky. they didn’t pull any punches and they used heavy handed tactics to get what they wanted. In other words they were the ultimate villains! not to mention all the gadgets they used to their advantage! these guys were good and I can’t wait to see what they have up their sleeves next.

This was on the best Paranormal reads of the year as it was unique and totally original! a great read for all you Paranormal fans out there!
