***Katie – #NerdGirlKtLBLy’s Review***
Arden Simms has never had a normal childhood growing up. Her mother is a lawyer and a workaholic who hardly ever sees or spends time with Arden or any of her sisters. Her father, or any of her sister’s fathers, isn’t around either so Arden has to fend for herself. She’s in med school and takes a semester off before her internship starts and goes to Paris, France. She is supposed to meet her model sister Kenedy there but Kenedy is off at a job. She runs into a former schoolmate and also model Slayde Price and he offers her a place to stay until Kenedy gets home. Arden and Slayde start to hang out and get to know each other again and are really starting to hit it off. Arden starts to like Slayde but doesn’t want to get too close because Slayde and Kenedy used to date in high school and Arden used to date Slayde’s brother Brady and she doesn’t want any problems between their families. The more Arden and Slayde spend together the more their attraction grows. Kenedy comes home and finds out and is furious (but she did something horrible with Brady while he was with Arden so Slayde tells Arden not to care what she thinks.) Once Arden’s new semester starts she goes back home to L.A. and Slayde goes with her. They resume their relationship and are so happy together but after some time, things start to get a little rocky. From long distances between them, to school, to Slayde’s modeling career, jealousy and the paparazzi make Arden wonder if it’s worth it.
This story was so good and I had a real hard time putting it down. The characters are all so real and everyone has their own distinct personality. You really want Arden and Slayde’s relationship to work out. Even though there are a lot of obstacles in there way you hope they get past them together.
