***Kristin –  #NerdGirlSoldier’s Review***
Zoe Caine is a successful business woman who is dating a man that is completely wrong for her. Trust me, after you read just how boring that guy is, you’ll agree with me. But she’s dating Robert because it’s a comfortable relationship. She knows he won’t hurt her like Jordan did. Yet she’s not satisfied. Memories from ten years ago resurface when Jordan comes back to town. Zoe wants nothing to do with him, yet she can’t help but remember the feelings that she had for him. I love that Zoe is a strong and independent woman who knows how to run a business. She does a lot of her growing during the ten years after her relationship with Jordan is over so while you don’t see the transition, you do get to read about it in the flashbacks. Some readers don’t appreciate flashbacks, but I love them. The flashbacks in this book are very well done; they aren’t useless memories, but rather they’re helpful scenes that allow the reader to understand just where Zoe is coming from. Why she reacted to something or why she still holds onto feelings.

If you thought Christian Grey and Gideon Cross had stalking tendencies, then you haven’t met Jordan Dawson yet. You need to meet him. Yes, he’s an alpha male who doesn’t like other men near his woman but he’s also got a huge heart. Over the ten years after Zoe left him, Jordan keeps tabs on her without her knowledge. Creepy, right? Is it still creepy if he sends gifts to her house on her birthdays, graduation from college and other important life events? One part of me says yeah that’s odd but the other says no, that’s kind of sweet that he’d do that for a decade and not expect  for her to contact him. Jordan never gives up hope that he can win Zoe back. He’s loved her since the first time he saw her, but is love enough to win back her heart and trust?

The story flows well and it isn’t complicated to follow. I love the added drama that is mixed in; it blends nicely with the rest of the story without needing a second plot line. I thoroughly enjoyed Ms. Moldovan’s novel and I truly hope you pick up a copy today!!
