Synopsis

When twenty-three-year-old Jodie Fletcher realizes shape-shifters are real—and that they’re trying to kill her—she finds herself thrust into a life of danger and unimaginable intrigue. With both parents away, and her newly-single alcoholic brother Luke camped in the spare bedroom, Jodie feels like she’s drowning in a world she doesn’t understand. The only thing she can count on is the leopard who has taken it upon himself to protect her. She cannot ignore the raw emotion he awakens in her and longs for more. The leopard becomes not only her savior, but her escape.

Mysterious and unpredictable, leopard shifter Danny Archer hides behind his dimpled smile and pretty boy façade. What’s more, he has a second job the human population doesn’t know about—the one that leads him to Jodie and Luke. Archer feels an instant connection with Jodie, and must find a way to balance his volatile lifestyle to include her.

Luke Fletcher became an alcoholic long before his wife left him. Now he faces the brutal reality that the past has caught up with him. He made a series of bad choices while under the influence, which have placed his sister and his two young daughters in danger. Luke must try to find the man he used to be in order to survive the chaos he’s inflicted. He knows he won’t be able to live with himself if anything happens to his family.

THIS IS BOOK ONE IN THE THERIAN SECRETS SERIES.

***Amanda – #NerdGirlWitch’s  Review***
I love shifter books and this one was no exception! there were so many different species and different branches in this one it was crazy! I loved it all! Johanna Rea is a wonderful writer and I don’t think I could have kept them all straight without her wonderful writing. she made it all calm, normal and fun, while at the same time battles and chaos was going on! she is truly remarkable!

The story centers around Shifter Danny and the girl that he Loves Jodie, they have an intense and complicated relationship and with people trying to kill them it does put that much more strain on a new and budding romance. I liked Danny but I felt that we didn’t really get to know him like everyone else, sure I know that he loves Jodie and that he likes to brood a lot…lol…but other then that he really didn’t reveal much about himself personally.

I really loved all their friends! I don’t think I could pick a favourite as they were all so great! Eddy and Ainsley were so cute together. Ainsley was so crazy at times though when she would go into her denial that I wanted to slap her out of it….lol…Lauren I kept waiting for her to choose one of the hunky guys from the house to hook up with…lol…there sure were enough to go around! I really liked how she took charge of things and how the guys let her into the circle. Adam was so sweet, Leon adorable and Rufus too I could go on and on…LOL they were all so great!

The bad guys were terrible and seemed to keep coming at them time and time again. they were relentless and awesome villains as this was shifter against shifter, the battles were awesome and Johanna really did well in her explanations of why these to people were fighting against one another. They were vicious and brutal to one another!

I highly recommend this to all the Shifter fans out there as well as to the paranormal fans this is a great read! get your copies today!
