Synopsis

What would you do if you’ve lost everything? If the reason you woke up in the morning no longer existed? If life dealt you a blow so devastating that something as simple as breathing was just too painful, how would you find the strength to go on?
Nicole Miller was happy, busy with her family and her dream job. Life was perfect. When tragedy struck, she succumbed to her devastating loss and crumbled under the heavy weight of her despair. She didn’t know where to find the strength to keep going.
Divorce Attorney, Shawn Burns had seen too many destroyed marriages to believe that happily ever after actually existed. By avoiding commitment, he remained aloof, and most importantly, unattached. Nicole, Shawn’s old college friend, is the only woman that he would ever be willing to give his heart to, but she was married to someone else…
Some friendships survive under stress. Some do not. Can Shawn, provide the healing balm for his friend’s soul? Will Nicole ever be able to find hope, forgiveness, or love for her desolate heart?

***Shelly – #NerdGirlXrayer’s Review***
his book deals with a the devastating loss of Nicole’s son.  Within the first chapter the tragedy happens.  The rest of the book is how Nicole deals with the tragedy and how her family, friends and Shawn rally around her to help her through her devastation and pain.

Nicole is dealing with the pain when two instances set her off and she hits rock bottom.  When that happens Shawn is by her side to help her.  He is patient and loving with Nicole the whole time that she doesn’t think she can continue on.  Throughout this time Shawn realizes that he can fall in love and want to spend the rest of his life with someone.

Liegha Lewis does a great job of writing about this tragedy in a respectful and emotional way.  She makes you feel like you are right there with Nicole as she cry’s, screams, can start to remember the good times with her son and happiness .  Everyone needs a man like Shawn in there life, someone they can lean on and rely on.

You will need Kleenex for this book but in the end it will remind you even though you can have heartache in life the heart is strong enough to heal.
