The Deschanel Curse, dormant for a decade, has returned with a vengeance.
Seers across the family are coming together, hopeful the Deschanel Magi Collective can solve this malediction that has plagued the family for nearly two centuries.
But how do you combat the blood oath of a grieving mother?
As the body count rises, it becomes apparent that strength, love, and ancient power provide no protection from destiny’s cruel hand.
MALEDICTION: The Curse has claimed its first victim. The Deschanel Magi Collective must bring the whole family together, to fight this as one
I love the House of Crimson and Clover series, and this latest edition adds so much to it. This novella is not a stand alone. It is rather important to have read the prior books in the series to understand all that is going on.
Dynasty showcases many new Deschanel and Sullivan family members and the secret that they have lived with. Many back stories are presented. The family tree and timeline at the end of the book was a fabulous addition. I love that attention to detail. The author continues to weave together this complex story, and intricate characters and family.
Instead of being presented as one longer book, this part of the series will be presented in three novellas (“Acts”). Thankfully, the wait between books is not too long. Dynasty is an excellent first act and segue to the rest of the story.
If you’re a fan of this series, you’ll love this book.
