***Melanie – # NerdGirlVamp’s Review***
This is a slightly confusing review for me to write. The book was listed as a YA and so I went in with that mid set and to be honest I think it needs to be re-categorized as perhaps just straight paranormal or perhaps NA as the characters spend a lot of time working, and socializing in a bar.

It was definitely a slow start for me and I actually emailed the author at one point to find out if there was a Novella or short story that came beforehand as despite the wide range of paranormal reading I do I was feeling a little lost.

The story itself is a good one and the explanations do come as the book goes on. The second half was definitely a better read for me and I think the author really does have potential. I think the biggest problem is one I come across a lot where the author knows this world and her characters so well she forgets that people coming in to it for the first time may be a little lost.

3 1/2 out of 5 stars from me (Rounded up as per my protocol).
